Tax Accountant

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Location:

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Cleveland, Ohio, offering close collaboration with an experienced public accounting team. Candidates should be comfortable working in the office and participating in an in-person interview.

Note:

Candidates must have 3+ years of public accounting tax experience and must either be a licensed CPA or be actively progressing toward CPA licensure.

Job Description

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for business and individual clients.
• Support tax planning, research, and compliance projects while identifying opportunities to help clients make informed financial decisions.
• Work directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide responsive tax and accounting support.
• Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and priorities throughout the year and during busy season.
• Research tax issues and stay current on relevant federal and state tax developments.
• Collaborate with experienced accounting professionals on tax, accounting, and advisory matters.
• Help maintain accurate, organized workpapers and deliver high-quality work to clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Licensed CPA or active CPA candidate required.
• Strong knowledge of tax preparation, compliance, and accounting principles.
• Experience working directly with clients and managing multiple deadlines.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working full-time on-site in Cleveland.
