We are looking for an Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA to join our growing tax team at Capita. This role is designed for someone who thrives on collaboration, takes pride in accurate tax filings, and is passionate about delivering excellent service aligned with clients’ broader financial goals.
You'll prepare and file tax returns, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with Capita's financial advisors on tax strategy. As a member of a newer function within the firm, you'll also have a voice in shaping how our tax processes evolve over time.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file individual and business federal and state tax returns accurately and on time
Provide strategic tax planning throughout the year in coordination with advisors
Identify opportunities to connect clients with Capita's broader financial planning services
Coordinate with financial advisors and planners to ensure tax work aligns with each client's overall financial goals
Respond to IRS and state notices on behalf of clients
Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and best practices
Contribute to building and improving internal tax preparation processes and documentation
Experience Desired
Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential (Required)
1–2 years of experience preparing and filing tax returns (Required)
Familiarity with tax software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, or similar)
Experience with both individual and business filings
Understanding of how tax strategy connects to broader financial planning
Prior work in a wealth management, advisory, or accounting firm is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
We offer competitive pay and a great opportunity for learning and growth. This role has upside potential for higher earnings through the growth of tax clients and the conversion of tax-only clients to full financial planning clients at Capita.
