The City of Pueblo wants to hire you as a Tax Auditor I! As a Tax Auditor I, you’ll perform examinations of various business and governmental records of both local and remote businesses, prepare detailed documentation of audit findings, and assure compliance with the City's Sales/Use Tax and license ordinances. You’ll also interpret Municipal Code, State statute and regulations, and court cases relating to the administration and enforcement of tax or license provisions while providing customer service to internal and external customers. • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or business
• A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment

  • During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license

PREFERRED:

• At least two (2) years of accounting or auditing experience
