Tax Compliance Officer

• Prepare and file accurate tax returns (VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Corporate Tax, SDL, etc.) in accordance with Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) requirements.
  


• Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on implications.
  


• Ensure timely payment of all tax obligations and maintain proper documentation.
  


• Reconcile tax accounts and resolve discrepancies with TRA or internal records.
  


• Coordinate tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
  


• Maintain up-to-date records of tax filings, assessments, and correspondence.
  


• Support internal and external audits with relevant tax documentation.
  


• Provide guidance to other departments on tax-related matters (e.g., invoicing, procurement).
  


• Identify tax risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  


• CPA (T) or equivalent professional certification is an added advantage.
  


• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax compliance or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  


• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and TRA procedures.
  


• Experience with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks).
  


• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
