Our client is a leading provider of accounting, auditing, tax, and business services to non-profit organizations, small to large-sized businesses, and high-net-worth individuals throughout New England. They have been providing quality services to the retail, wholesale, construction, hospitality, real estate, and service industries for over 30 years. They are seeking a highly skilled CPA to join their team as a Tax Director.

Ideal candidates will have the following:
CPA is required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful tax strategies that drive business results.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate tax concepts to non-tax
professionals.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience managing and developing a team of tax professionals.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Manage the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, including income, sales, and property tax.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact on the company and advise senior management on potential risks and opportunities.
Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's overall financial performance and support strategic business objectives.
Provide guidance and support to other departments on tax-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and employee compensation.
Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure their continued growth and success.
Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and government agencies to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the company's tax processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

Job Type: Full-time, Fully In-Office for the first year with Hybrid potential.
Pay: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
