Tax Manager

POSITION: TAX MANAGER
LOCATION: SAN RAPHAEL, CA.
WORK TYPE: FULL-TIME, HYBRID

Our client is looking hire an experienced Tax Manager for our office in San Rafael, CA. Since 1986 this firm has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to individuals and businesses. Their expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as audits, financial statements, and financial planning.

Please note that this is a full-time, hybrid position, with employees working onsite three days per week/two days work from home.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and review Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Estate and Trust tax returns. Assist clients with tax and financial planning. Perform complex tax research. Duties include supervising, training, and interacting with junior and senior-level staff. Must be able to manage client accounts.

Successful candidate requirements:

• Bachelors degree required, preferably in an accounting/business/finance major

• CPA or EA preferred

• 7+ years of experience in public accounting

• Ability to thoroughly supervise current engagements as well as follow up on completed projects * Strong technical and supervisory skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to multi-task, and complete large numbers of complex projects

• Ability to build relationships with clients
