Tax Manager 

The purpose of this role is to lead long-term tax planning relationships with individual taxpayers who are wealth management clients, ensuring compliance obligations are met while strategically structuring their finances to minimize their lifetime total tax burden. In a collaborative team-based environment, the Tax Manager plays a critical role in providing expert guidance, proactively identifying tax-efficient strategies that align with clients' financial goals.  

What You’ll Do

• Lead individual, trust, and gift tax return engagements while managing the client communication and relationship 
• Work collaboratively with financial planners and wealth managers—your expertise makes a difference 
• Apply strategic tax planning techniques for individual taxpayers like Roth conversions, equity compensation, charitable giving, and more 
• Help clients plan ahead, reducing surprises and maximizing opportunities 
• Mentor junior tax preparers, sharing your knowledge without the pressure of endless deadlines 
• Stay current on tax laws and put them to good use—helping people, not just filing forms 
• Develop and present educational content, positioning yourself as a trusted expert, not just a technician 

Who We Are Looking For 

• You’ve spent 5+ years preparing and reviewing tax returns—but you want more than just compliance work. 
• You hold a CPA, EA, or JD designation. 
• You’re ready to move beyond the burnout and into a role where strategy matters. 
• You enjoy details, structure, and a team-based approach to tax planning. 
• You’re open to learning financial planning concepts and willing to pursue additional certifications
