Tax Manager

Compliance & Reporting

• Direct the preparation and filing of state and local tax filings.
• Oversee indirect taxes, such as sales/use tax and property tax.
• Oversee the filing of business license and annual report filings.

Tax Strategy & Planning

• Analyze financial plans to identify tax risks and develop strategies to minimize tax burden.
• Provide tax planning for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), transfer pricing, and business restructuring.
• Monitor new and pending tax legislation to determine the impact on company operations.

Audit & Controls

• Coordinate internal and external tax audits, preparing responses and maintaining required documentation.
• Ensure internal financial controls are followed and documented for all tax-related procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
• Experience: Typically, 6+ years of progressive corporate tax or public accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of U.S. corporate tax law, tax accounting (ASC 740), and financial reporting. Good verbal and written communication skills.
