Tax Manager/Sr.Manager/ Director-High Net Worth Tax-REMOTE or NY Metro - Opportunity to Make a Diffe

CPA firm seeking a tax professional who is very strong in all aspects of personal income tax preparation with an emphasis on clients with voluminous portfolios of hedge and alternative investments

This position can be fully remote or located in NY Metro

Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility for directing engagements and special assignments and supervise a number of engagements simultaneously.
• Implement tax strategies that align with clients' business objectives
• Perform all tasks related to client service and see that assignments are accomplished by the engagement team within the budgeted time.
• Responsible for the professional and technical development of the staff through on-the-job-interaction and leading in-house training.
• Develop a list of potential referral sources to bring new business to the firm
• Develop expertise in one or more specific industry area

Qualifications

• CPA
• Five years of very strong experience in personal income tax matters including fiduciary and foundation
• Experience with complex returns requiring 20-40 K-1 schedules.
• Ability to supervise in-house and off-site bookkeepers
• Ability to make adjusting general ledger journals
• Financial planning experience is a plus - eg. cash flow, life insurance, mortgage and investment analysis.
