Location: Wheaton, IL. This is a 100% on-site position offering the opportunity to work closely with an experienced legal and tax team in a professional, collaborative office environment.

Note: Candidates must have at least 2+ years of tax preparation experience, including exposure to fiduciary, gift, and partnership tax returns. Experience with ProSystem fx Tax software and Microsoft Excel is required.

Job Description

• Prepare federal tax returns, including Forms 709, 1065, and 1041.
• Handle tax preparation matters involving trusts, estates, gifts, and partnerships.
• Utilize ProSystem fx Tax software and Microsoft Excel to prepare and review tax information.
• Review financial documents and supporting records to ensure accurate tax filings.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other professionals on complex tax and estate-related matters.
• Assist with preparation of Forms 1040, 706, and 990-PF as experience allows.
• Maintain organized records, meet filing deadlines, and deliver accurate, timely work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional tax preparation experience.
• Experience preparing Forms 709, 1065, and 1041.
• Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues.
• Experience with Forms 1040, 706, and 990-PF preferred.
