Job Description - Tax Supervisor

Workforce Solutions partners directly with leading small to mid-sized CPA firms across the United States to connect them with top talent in the public accounting industry. We are currently working with a well-established and growing public accounting firm in Georgetown, Texas that is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join their team. This position is onsite with a hybrid/remote option possibly available.


What's the role?


Tax Supervisors are a key part of the business tax team responsible for managing client relationships while ensuring final annual tax products and monthly financial work are produced and delivered to clients within expected timelines. This includes:



  • Preparing payroll, tax, and business records and reports.

  • Preparing and reviewing corporate and individual tax returns.

  • Building new and strengthening existing client relationships; demonstrating basic knowledge of clients' businesses.

  • Communicating and meeting with clients as requested; providing recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax needs.


What experience and skills do I need to be successful?



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field at minimum.

  • 6 years' experience.

  • Experience within the construction industry, preferred.

  • Possesses technical knowledge of taxation, U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, SSARS (as applicable to Focus Area) for the industries in which they specialize; sufficient to supervise Associate and Senior Associate level staff.

  • Demonstrates a high level of client service, including the acquisition of knowledge of the client and all facets of the client's business. Maintains positive client relationships through timely communication.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills achieved through observation, training and experience.

  • Project management by prioritizing competing projects to meet client care.



Compensation


Salary Range: $95,000/yr - 105,000/yr (based on experience and past performance)


Additional Compensation Opportunities:



  • Retention Incentive Compensation Plan (paid at Years 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20)
