Summary: The Veterinary Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and credentialed technicians by delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional client service. This position involves assisting with patient restraint and handling, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting various medical procedures including diagnostics and surgical setups.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient restraint and handling


• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas


• Maintain cleanliness and biosecurity standards


• Support medical procedures including diagnostics, laboratory sample collection, imaging preparation, and surgical setup


• Monitor hospitalized patients and administer medications as directed


• Maintain accurate medical records


• Ensure equipment and supplies are properly stocked and maintained


• Communicate with clients to gather patient histories and reinforce discharge instructions


• Provide compassionate support during routine and urgent visits
