Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Leads daily operations including development and delivery of family violence education and prevention programming, community engagement, and advocacy. Assists with related activities of The Center for Family Safety and Healing. Ability to work evenings and weekends, required.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates to lead strategy development and implementation for the overall training, advocacy, community engagement and public education activities.
- Oversees the employment lifecycle of training coordinators.
- Trains and mentors team and peers on training techniques and training development concepts and materials. Manages and assigns training requests and ensure classes and resources are scheduled and communicated to identified audiences.
- Develops and maintains partnerships to promote family violence education; deliver education and prevention programs with existing and new organizations.
- Facilitates training and awareness of family violence using a variety of instructional techniques or formats that are appropriate for the audience, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, online resources, webinars and lectures.
- Assesses current community and conditions through research and dialogue with partners to ensure programs are aligned with community and industry needs.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Social Services, Higher Education, Communications or a related field, required.
- Master's Degree, preferred.
Licensure Requirement:

- Five years of experience in managing, leading, and coordinating efforts in the community or for an organization, required.
- Experience in public speaking and facilitating sessions with various sized groups and diverse audiences, required.
- Supervisory experience, required.
- Experience working with child welfare system or knowledge of community resources and family violence services, preferred.
