We are seeking an energetic and experienced Teacher to join our team! As a Teacher, you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, creating and implementing a comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!

Responsibilities:

Plan a classroom curriculum that meets school standards

Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking skills

Prepare any necessary learning materials

Assign homework

Take attendance

Grade assignments and provide feedback

Document students’ learning progress

Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment

Report and document behavioral incidents

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher and state teaching certification

Previous experience teaching at the k-6 level is preferred

Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation: $4,000.00 per month

Established in 1984, Spell Well Montessori is a privately owned and operated Early Childhood through Eighth Grade. Spell Well is located on a 3-acre campus in the beautiful Spring-Klein area in northwest Houston. Our bright, open, and airy campus is surrounded by beautiful pine and oak trees in a wooded and picturesque suburban setting. Spell Well Montessori is fully accredited with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (Advance-Ed) and is affiliated with the American Montessori Society (AMS).

With an increasing percentage of American children spending a large part of their day in the care of someone other than their parents, it is important for parents to ensure that their children are attending a school where they can be safe, comfortable, and happy. Our teachers provide individual attention to students in an environment that promotes enrichment and learning.
