DYS is the juvenile corrections system for the state of Ohio. DYS is statutorily mandated to confine felony offenders, ages 10-21, who have been adjudicated and committed by one of Ohio's 88 county juvenile courts. Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility is seeking an ART TEACHER for Luther E. Ball High School. Here are some of the job duties and working characteristics of this position:

• Assesses educational needs of youth and develops lesson plans to include individualized assignments in arts & crafts,
• Amministers, scores and interprets exams and projects,
• Maintains discipline and counsels students concerning their performance and/or behavior,
• Attends meetings (daily morning, individual, pre-admision, discharnge, parent conferences),
• Prepares required records and reports for grades,
• Orders supplies and materials needed,
• Knowledge of education designed for arts & crafts of middle and high school students,
• Ability to assess educations needs of students and develop individual plans, if necessary,
• Attends all graduations ceremonies,
• Establsh a good rapport with students and staff members.
