About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant at Merryhill School, you're responsible for creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for children. You will provide a warm, caring, joyful environment that encourages preschoolers’ natural curiosity, and instills confidence in their innate abilities.
A typical day
Teachers at our school create a warm, engaging, and creative classroom that promotes a curriculum that teaches 21st century skills of communication, collaboration, problem solving, and analysis. A lot of fun between circle time, play time, snack time should be expected.
Employment Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Educational background with 12 semesters or 18 quarter early childhood education units shall include courses that cover the general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum or a bachelor’s degree in child development - preferred
- Has excitement, joy, and passion for working with kids
- Has strong verbal and written communication skills with kids, employees, and parents
- Cooperative, supportive, flexible, organized
- Able to create positive classroom community and build relationships with students
- Has a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset
