Teacher, True Blue Neighbors, Youth Scholars Program

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans using curricula
• Prepare for and provide instruction for two hours per day, three days per week
• Provide tutoring and remedial instruction as needed during program hours
• Communicates in planning to ensure program supports and compliments school day academics
• Manage regularly assigned classes
• Participate in family engagement events and activities
• Comply with all TBNYS policies and procedures. Attend required program meetings
• Provide a safe, equitable, learning environment for students of all racial, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with appropriate teaching certificate
• Some teaching experience required
• Computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters' Degree
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
