Teachers Assistant Needed for a Local School in Hawthorne, NJ - Dynamic Team

Blazerjobs is excited to partner with the local school district in Hawthorne, NJ to fill a full-time Teaching Assistant position. We are committed to providing exceptional support staff to enhance the learning experience and success of students in the community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, reinforcing lessons and assisting with academic tasks.
• Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Support students in the classroom by promoting positive behavior and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and other tasks as assigned by the teacher.
• Provide supervision and support during transitions, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods.
• Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure the needs of students are being met effectively.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with diverse learners.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
