Team Lead

Reports To: Assistant Store Manager (primary), Store Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Direct Reports: Cashier(s), Sales Associate(s)

Position Summary

The primary responsibility for all positions with Gordon’s Ace Hardware is to WOW Every Customer, Every Time while upholding our Core Values.

The Team Lead supports daily store execution by leading the front end, coaching associates on service standards, and serving as Manager-on-Duty when assigned.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead front-end execution and maintain readiness and recovery standards.
  • Coach associates on customer engagement and register accuracy.
  • Communicate priorities from leadership and ensure understanding.
  • Support freight flow and basic accuracy habits as directed.


Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior retail experience required; leadership experience preferred.


Behavioral Expectations

  • Calm, respectful leader who sets the tone for the shift.
  • Reliable follow-through and accountability.


Technology & Systems

  • Able to operate POS and basic store systems accurately.


Schedule & Availability

  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
