Job Description

:

Lead a small team of technical Cloud Software Engineers and sustaining staff, focused on a subsystem or sub-element of a larger product cloud software development or technology development project. Perform mostly technical tasks plus some supervisory work as required to direct a small team. Plan and supervise a small team of staff. Work with the Software Program/Project Manager and team members to identify and organize the best approach to executing the tasks required for the project. Ensure that the team follows the applicable Product Development Process and adheres to all of the relevant Standards and Procedures. Deliver the sub-system or sub-elements in time and at the necessary level of quality so as to respect the parent project requirements, timeline and budget. Provide technical documentation from the team that describes proven solutions for the project, including design files, technical drawings and specifications documents as required by the Environment Management System (EMS). Monitor and guide good working practices relating to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE), technical rigor, professional behavior and performance of the assigned team. Maintain the necessary level of expertise for self and team through training and development as appropriate for the execution of the project. Set annual objectives and perform regular appraisals of performance for the assigned team.

Supervises the work of Software Developers.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's Degree, or foreign educational equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related IT field. Must have two years of post-baccalaureate experience as Cloud Software Engineer or related role. The two years of experience must include experience with designing and developing systems and services and deploying them in production using repeatable processes on the cloud; implementation of backend services; microservices architecture, development, deployment and testing; RESTful API design and asynchronous and concurrent systems; Agile development; supporting AI tool Dataiku; MongoDB Compass; Kubernetes or Docker; Azure DevOps; IDEA IntelliJ; Azure Cloud/Google Cloud Services; Insomnia; GoLang; Python; TypeScript; SQL, NoSQL; PowerShell; and Bash.
