Impounds Team Lead – Key Expectations
The Impounds Team Lead plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, supporting team development, and ensuring efficient management of impound-related activities. This position requires a strong balance of leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship management.
Leadership & Team Development
- Serve as a trusted resource for the team by providing daily support, guidance, and problem-solving assistance.
- Review calls and case activity to deliver effective coaching focused on impound processes, compliance requirements, negotiation techniques, and customer experience.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Strategic & Innovative Thinking
- Demonstrate a principled entrepreneurship mindset by identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce expenses, and increase operational efficiency.
- Understand business objectives and proactively recommend solutions that support portfolio growth while maintaining budget discipline and cost effectiveness.
- Embrace innovation and challenge the status quo to drive positive business results.
Operational Excellence
- Support supervisor responsibilities and special projects as needed to ensure departmental success.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities, balancing daily operations with long-term initiatives.
- Ensure deadlines are met while coaching team members on prioritization and workload management.
Vendor & Business Partnership Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with critical external partners, including impound facilities, recovery agents, and outside counsel.
- Partner effectively with internal stakeholders across departments to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
- Demonstrate professionalism, influence, and negotiation skills when interacting with vendors to achieve mutually beneficial results.
Results-Focused Execution
- Lead by example in managing complex impound situations while ensuring compliance and operational consistency.
- Drive accountability for performance metrics, service levels, and business objectives.
- Support a scalable and efficient impounds operation capable of meeting evolving business needs and portfolio growth.
