TEAM LEAD / OPERATING ROOM SVS LINE / REGISTERED NURSE (RN) / OPERATING ROOM

TITLE: Team Leader\n\nDEPT: Operating Room\n\nSHIFT: 7A-3:30P\n\nSITE: UVMC\n\nThe Team Leader (TL) for the OR Service Line in Surgery has responsibilities for a dynamic functional area of patient services and must collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and unit-based goals. The TL is responsible for providing overall coordination, direction, and strategic planning, for the OR Service Line. The TL works closely with all surgeons and surgical staff to develop processes to meet the Instrument and Inventory needs of the physicians and surgical staff to ensure safe and quality delivery of care to our patient customers while in the surgical environment. The TL also works closely with the Medical, Anesthesia, and Surgery Directors to establish the systems and structures needed to support the delivery of quality patient care. This position reports to the Nurse Manager of Surgery and works collaboratively with other members of the Surgical Services Management Team, Nursing Administration, Anesthesia Providers, Surgeons, Hospital Administration, and PH- System Administration.\n\nEDUCATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: \n\nMinimum level of education required: Associate\u0027s Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred\n\nLicensure/Registration required: \n\nCurrent Ohio Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)\n\nCurrent CPR certification\n\nCNOR preferred\n\nEXPERIENCE:\n\nMinimum level of experience: 3-5 years of job-related experience\n\nPreferred Experience: Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience as a circulating RN in the Operating Room. Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience in Progress Leadership role\n\nKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:\n\nExcellent leadership and decision-making skills. \n\nDemonstrates a full range of highly effective communication and problem-solving skills.\n\nProven clinical competence.\n\nProven ability to perform ongoing prioritization.\n\n \n
