Team Leader

The Team Leader role plays a crucial part in the success of our La La Land Reserve store. You are supporting both the team and our guests and acting as the eyes and ears of the business. You gather feedback, help solve problems in real time, and keep communication open between the staff and management team.

In this position, you’ll assist the General Manager with operational tasks such as inventory support, shift oversight, and helping ensure every service is executed with excellence and intention. You help maintain high standards while also uplifting team morale.

Seeking: 

•  A hands-on inspiring leader with an eye for detail, a love of great coffee and matcha, with a commitment to delivering unrivaled customer experience. 
• An autonomous supervisor who takes full ownership of their cafe and their team. 
• A natural leader. The supervisor leads the team in the efficient running of the coffee bar both front and back of house in order to achieve operational excellence. They manage our locations in the absence of the General Manager. 
• A passion for the development and training of people to build and develop a highly skilled and high-achieving team that can cope with the pressures and demands of a high-volume site. 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a specialty coffee shop 
• Lead, inspire and motivate the team so that everyone performs their absolute best, alongside the General Manager. Effectively managing the large team on site and working alongside them to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience. 
• Drive to build a high performing House focusing on KPIs. Continuing to look for ways to drive your shop’s financial performance. 
• A people-focused Manager, always getting the best from the people around them. 
• High standards of food and beverage service in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ensure opens and closes run smoothly, admin and issues are dealt with proactively, and the cafe is always appropriately stocked with products and equipment. 
• Encourage and create a vibrant, exciting and sociable place of work. 
• Be driven by high standards and instill this same motivation within your team.
