Butterball Farms, Inc. is currently seeking a Team Leader who will be responsible for meeting overall production requirements in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. They will also be responsible for the proper development of their team.
Line: Pop-cup
Shift: 2nd shift 3pm-3am Monday through Wednesday with occasional Thursdays and Fridays
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour + shift premium
As a Team Leader you will:
Train, mentor, support, supervise, and develop your team
Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
Oversee the production line and coordinate work assignments to include: Rotations, Employee Training, Employee Vacations, Breaks, OT Assignments, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations
Coordinate with HR for appropriate staffing levels, including interviewing potential candidates
Conduct annual employee performance evaluations
Be responsible for Quality Control
Communicate effectively with other Team Leaders, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Functional areas, and managers
Ensure all shift paperwork is entered correctly into the appropriate systems
Participate in waste and cost reduction initiatives
Meet production goals and deadlines
Deal with Conflict and resolve difficult situations between personnel and peers as necessary
Follow and enforce all policies in the company handbook, using disciplinary action as necessary
Follow and enforce all safety practices and guidelines
Follow and enforce Food Safety Guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
Utilize designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Assist in production when necessary
