Job Description - Team Member Front of House (FOH)

Job Summary:

The Associate, FOH sets the first impression by providing the highest level of service to all customers entering the restaurant. Primary responsibilities include entering orders into MÓGŪ’s Point-of-Sale system (POS), processing cash and credit payments, helping to fulfill the dine-in or to-go orders and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greets customers with a wave and smile as they enter and leave the restaurant. 
  • Ensures the proper cleanliness of the dining room at all times. 
  • Accurately process all customer transactions including cash and credit card payments.
  • Responsible for learning and mastering the POS system.
  • Answers customers' questions regarding the menu.
  • Delivers all food to dine-in guests.
  • Ensures that food is prepared correctly and returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
  • Staying in motion to assist with other restaurant tasks such as maintaining a clean and tidy work area, cleaning the dining area.
  • Constantly engaging customers in the dining room.
  • Ensure customers and 3PD drivers receive the correct bags.
  • Ensure all soda is pulled up neatly with labels facing outwards.
  • Adhere to the company uniform policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Proven working experience as a cashier or customer service recommended.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be punctual, trustworthy and honest.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and customer service skills
  • Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Must successfully complete MÓGŪ’s training course.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 15 pounds.
