Call patients from lobby & escort them to exam room or dressing room and give proper dressing instructions. Assist patient if needed.
Verify the order, patient demographics, exam, and referring physician with patient and verify all information is correct in ROYAL. Correct any discrepancies if needed prior to starting exam.
Obtain patient history before exam and relay to technologist. Advise technologist of any concerns.
Verify LMP's and perform pregnancy test as needed.
Start IV's on patients prior to exam, as needed.
Prepare contrast and obtain labs as needed.
Assist with room set up and clean room after exams.
Escort patients to and from scan room.
Keep MR/CT rooms stocked with supplies. Monitor inventory and notify technologist/manager if supplies are needed.
Submit a formal request to medical records to obtain previous reports from other medical facilities.
Answer MR/CT calls and route calls to proper areas or take a message.
Monitor schedule and notify technologist of any changes. Reschedule patients if needed.
HOURS: Position requires schedule flexibility to include mornings, evenings and weekends shifts.
Must be willing to travel to other Radiology Associates facilities
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Computer literate with 10 key by touch
Knowledgeable of insurance
Radiology experience preferred or can substitute 2-3 years in physicians office experience
