Tech Manager, Engineering - WMS

Macy's is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join their Macy�s Technology team, responsible for driving innovation and seamless shopping experiences for customers. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role involves leading and collaborating with cross -functional teams, architects, and stakeholders to make balanced technical decisions, ensure the delivery of key enabling features, and advocate for modern software development practices, automation, and Reliability Engineering. The manager will also oversee the hiring, coaching, and mentoring of team members, as well as architecting scalable software solutions, managing software delivery, and promoting continuous engineering improvement. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, expertise in Java, Spring framework, ReactJS/Angular, modern system architecture patterns, cloud services, SQL/noSQL databases, and data management principles. Preferred experience in implementing third -party packaged software solutions is a plus.
