Technical Analyst 

Work Location:  Huntsville, AL

Schedule:  Full Time; 8 hours per day in office (remote work is not authorized)

Relocation:  Negotiable

Supports UHPO by serving as a Subject Matter Expert to the Armed Services Hearing. Ideal candidates possess recent and relevant experience gained from providing similar types of support to DOD organizations or DoD contractors. This position requires the candidate to already possess a Secret Security Clearance (Active).

Minimum Position requirements: 

• Responsible for reviewing extensive documentation and providing consolidated comparison reports


• Provide detailed input to expert testimonies


• Prepare written reports and technical analyses to support clients' intellectual property positions


• Provide technical recommendations on witness depositions during an Armed Services Hearing


• Provide detailed knowledge to Armed Services attorneys as they prepare and present during a hearing


• Collaborate with attorneys and other stakeholders to understand the technical aspects of IP cases and develop effective strategies


• Ability to review System Specifications and other documentation and provide written comparison reports


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data


• Must possess strong oral communication skills and can serve as an expert witness during an Armed Services board hearing


• Ability to write expert reports that are clear and defensible


• Ability to participate in and aid with expert witness depositions


• Ability to work effectively with others

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors and 16 years concentrated in the functional responsibility area of the position to be filled


• Masters and 14 years concentrated in the functional responsibility area of the position to be filled


• Knowledge of pertinent industry standards, regulations, and policies


• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) or government contracting environment, with technical data, data rights or intellectual property


• Knowledge of Black Hawk helicopters and their systems, subsystems and components (preferred)


• Prior experience testifying as an expert witness in civilian or Armed Services hearings (preferred) 

Travel: May require travel up to 25%.
