RESPONSIBILITIES

-- Operating, optimizing, and maintaining assigned production equipment

-- Meeting and exceeding production standards while maintaining product quality

-- Minimizing and preventing equipment downtime and sustaining budgeted waste levels

-- Maintaining accurate equipment logs and recording downtime and maintenance problems

-- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment

-- Starting up equipment and ensuring accurate functioning

-- Monitoring component inventories and safety guards

-- Maintaining a neat and orderly production environment

-- Monitoring in-process quality and addressing issues as needed

-- Performing required Q.C. checks and process challenges

-- Following safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements

-- Supporting upstream and downstream operations

-- Performing rework as required

-- Working optimally in a team environment

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

-- H.S. Diploma/G.E.D preferred

-- Maintenance Repair/Mechanical Experience or Proficiency required and

-- 2 years mechanical experience preferred

-- 6-12 months of manufacturing experience desired

-- Working with PLC's, Hydraulics and Pneumatics desired

-- Must be proficient with basic hand tools.

-- Familiar with the following mechanical components, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valves.

-- Should also be familiar with some electrical components: sensors, photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, VFD’s.

-- Able to work autonomously and be self-motivated.

-- Able to work any shift

-- Must have clear and legible handwriting
