Job Knowledge & Scope
Client , in the Cell Culture and Bioprocess Operations department, is responsible for providing support to pre-Early Stage Research to Early Development projects with high-throughput protein production from mammalian transient cultures.
We are looking for a motivated candidate with cell culture and sterile technique experience to join our team to enable protein production at Client .
The primary functions of will include maintaining seed train cultures and performing transfections in CHO and HEK293 cells in scales ranging from 1mL to 25L have harvesting the HCCF.
Experience with liquid handlers and automation and/ or experience with Bioreactors is preferable.
The additional responsibilities associated with these functions include:
Equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, lab management, data management, and troubleshooting.
The candidate will also work on improving existing cell culture platforms and developing new platforms to deliver diverse protein and cellular reagents to enable a large number of research programs.
The candidate must be highly self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and responsive to feedback.
The candidate is expected to precisely follow written procedures, practice sterile technique, demonstrate accurate documentation skills, and report deviations in a timely manner.
They should be able to work independently within guidelines and policies, with minimal guidance.
Qualifications
Required:
B.S (with 0-4yrs relevant experience) or M.S. (with 0-2yrs relevant experience) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have strong collaborative skills.
Preferred
State-of-the-art transient and stable protein expression experience
Relevant bioreactor experience
Hands-on experience with automation and liquid handlers like Tecan Freedom Evo and Hamilton Micro lab Star
