Come be a part of what\u2019s next.\n\nWe\u2019re seeking a passionate engineering leader to spearhead the technical vision and application of Gen AI across our games organization. This role will drive GenAI initiatives across the Games organization, ranging from core infrastructure, to giving teams GenAI superpowers, to supporting entirely novel gameplay experiences for our members.\n\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Drive the overall engineering strategy for GenAI in Games. \n\n * Support Gen AI across our portfolio and studios, both in the creation of new experiences and improving our workflows and pipelines.\n\n * Lead an organization of engineers, technical designers, and technical artists to experiment and innovate on game-aligned collaborations and exploratory bets.\n\n * Engage with game teams to develop prototype features and AI-native gameplay mechanics, ensuring technical viability.\n\n * Partner with external researchers, developers, and companies that are pioneering work in the Gen AI space.\n\n * Stay on the forefront of AI research and emerging tools, separating hype from high-leverage opportunities that align with our development and player goals.\n\n * Collaborate with our engineering and platform teams to build robust solutions and scale core capabilities (e.g., model inference, fine-tuning pipelines, data infrastructure, etc).\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\nWe\u0027re looking for a technical leader who deeply understands the unique landscape of game development and can strategically apply AI/ML to create impactful and transformative player experiences.\n\n * Games industry experience, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end game development lifecycle, from concept to live operations. You should be passionate about games and the future of interactive entertainment, with direct involvement in shipping multiple titles.\n\n * Proven experience leveraging AI/ML in a product environment, with at least the last 2-3 years leading or significantly contributing to Generative AI initiatives (LLMs, diffusion, multimodal systems).\n\n * Familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals, including core concepts, common ML problems and algorithms, and the end-to-end ML lifecycle (data collection, model training, deployment, monitoring).\n\n * Deep understanding of the Gen AI ecosystem \u2013 open models, data requirements, infrastructure and tooling, safety frameworks, and the trade-offs between hosted and in-house solutions.\n\n * Comfortable navigating from research prototypes to production-ready systems in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting, in partnership with engineering and AI research teams and game studios.\n\n\n\n\nGenerally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $360,000.00 - $550,000.00.\n\nNetflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
