Join our team in Sacramento! Our Technical Measurer is an apprentice position with the objective to develop the necessary skills and abilities to fulfill the role as a Technical Measurer Senior. This involves a training program which includes meeting customers at their homes, taking necessary measurements and photos, sketching floor plans and details, and completing a project write-up. This position assists in meeting targets for productivity, safety, quality, costs, customer service and associate satisfaction and development. The Technical Measurer also supports a team of flexible, multiskilled associates in accordance with company values, employee covenant, and strategic direction.
Duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
Makes assessment of the project conditions, takes and records measurements, selects the appropriate installation method, estimates the materials needed, checks for code compliance, reviews the order with the customer and writes up all necessary documents and installation instructions as needed to facilitate the order to be placed and the installation to be made.
Participates in Technical Measurer Senior "ride-alongs".
Engages in regular study of RbA products and installation methods.
Regularly interacts with sales staff and installation crews to maintain effective communication.
Promotes safety and ensures a safe work environment and safe associate work habits.
Creates and maintains a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing one's own reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.
Communicates with other supervisors/management and appropriate personnel regarding equipment, safety, schedules, company policies and practices, performance improvement plans, etc.
Analyze customer situations, determine corrective action to be taken, and verify that the action taken has fixed the situation.
Interface with customers in a respectful manner, giving the customer the information and explanations that clarify the situation and corrective action. Remain focused on customer's issues and concerns, responding to requests in a thorough and timely manner.
Complete assigned work schedules and work orders; set priorities and complete appointments with customers. Dependable and punctual in meeting commitments to co-workers and customers.
Complete and submit required paperwork that is neat, accurate, and thorough; ensure that all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
Follow established Renewal by Anderson processes, making recommendations for process improvement.
Keep current on RbA product and installation process.
Perform any other related, unrelated, unassigned, unspecified, out of the ordinary or special duties assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
5-7 years of carpentry finising and/or remodeling experience
Attention to detail, excellent organization, ability to prioritize and adherence to timelines
Excellent customer service, communication and problem resolution skills
Mechanical aptitude: ability to dismantle and reassemble windows, window coverings and hardware
Willingness to work variable work hours, adapt to necessary schedule changes and ability to adjust to process changes
Valid Driver's License with insurable driving record
Proficient working with computers; Microsoft Word and Excel, database experience.
Strong communication skills, customer service skills, and excellent time management skills.
Work experience with basic construction techniques; good knowledge of basic construction and building material; knowledge of the terminology of the industry.
Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills; strong listening skills to deliver customer focused solutions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, reach, and carry up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision. Communication requirements include English verbal speech and written communication.
