Territory Sales Representative – Fluid Power Components, Systems & Controls (PA/NJ)
Berendsen is one of North America’s leading value-added distributors, providing custom-designed hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic solutions to Mobile and Industrial OEMs and End Users.
We are seeking a high-energy Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow our presence across Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This is a "roll-up-your-sleeves" technical sales role focusing on providing total fluid power solutions—ranging from complex systems and power units to everyday hose and fitting components—to a diverse mix of small-to-mid-sized OEMs and large industrial end-users.
The Territory
Coverage: Eastern Pennsylvania (Philadelphia/Lehigh Valley/Scranton) and all of New Jersey.
Key Markets: Mobile and Industrial equipment OEMs, industrial manufacturing, and heavy infrastructure.
Your Day-to-Day
Needs-Driven Consulting: Uncover customer pain points and business priorities to deliver customized, value-added solutions.
Technical Problem Solving: Work directly with maintenance managers and engineers to spec out pumps, valves, cylinders, and hose assemblies.
Technical Literacy:Read and interpret hydraulic schematics to troubleshoot existing systems and identify where our components can improve performance or reliability.
Integrated Solutions: Leverage a general knowledge of electrical and control design to help customers integrate fluid power systems with PLC-driven environments and electronic controls.
Strategic Selling: Utilize a structured strategic selling methodology to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes and create "win-win" partnerships.
Territory Management: Develop and execute a localized sales strategy to maximize growth and achieve quotas within your assigned region.

What You Need to Bring
Value-Based Sales Approach: Proven ability to build value in the eyes of prospects by positioning products as solutions to specific business challenges.
Team Collaboration: A collaborative mindset, working closely with our internal engineering and support teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics and a working knowledge of electrical control circuits.
Time & Territory Management: Strong skills in planning your time and administrative tasks effectively to maintain a consistent presence across a large geographic area.
Educational Background: A Mechanical Engineering degree is a strong plus, as is an IFPS Certification (Hydraulic Specialist or Mechanic).
Travel Readiness: Ability to travel daily within the territory to visit customer sites.
