We're expanding our team and seeking individuals driven by a commitment to protecting the environment and improving water quality and infrastructure.
We're currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Fluoropolymers - Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team. Responsibilities will include leveraging of commercial expertise in the municipal market and a technical background. The base working location can be chosen from any major metropolitan area in the Eastern United States.
Primary duties will involve presenting value-added technical products and solutions to engineers, distributors, and end-users to influence product specifications for projects. Additionally, you'll lead business development and sales initiatives for both existing and new customers by collaborating with external sales representatives at our distribution partners, crafting business plans, and managing annual sales budgets.
Responsibilities:
· Presenting technical / value-producing products and solutions to engineers and system owners to influence project specifications.
· Leading business development initiatives for both existing and new customers by collaborating with distribution partners, consulting engineers and installation contractors.
· Providing support throughout the consultative sales process, including:
o reviewing specifications
o coordinating training for distributor and installation partners
· Staying informed about the competitive municipal market landscape, as well as the needs of our customer base, to drive the development of new product innovations and solutions.
Key Qualifications:
· Have earned a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.). Chemical engineering preferred.
· Possess over 5 years of professional experience.
· Have more than 3 years of outside sales experience, which includes managing, driving, or supporting lengthy sales cycle projects.
· Exhibit effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence specifications.
· Have experience utilizing relevant sales tools and CRM systems.
· Willingness to travel approximately 40-50%, including overnight stays, for meetings with distributors, consulting engineers, end-users, participation in events and tradeshows, and engagement with manufacturing site and functional leadership teams.
