Job Description - Technical Precast Sales Representative

Bethlehem Construction, Inc. has been a thriving and growing specialty and general contractor for more than 48 years. With a strong background in cold storage, Bethlehem Construction became the first Washington contractor to erect an all-concrete controlled atmosphere building.


 


All of Bethlehem’s precast projects are custom-designed and engineered to meet specific customer needs. Bethlehem Construction serves markets in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho with its Cashmere, WA, precast facility. The company is proud of its steady, long-tenured workforce, and that 80% of its business comes from repeat customers. Bethlehem beats its competitors through speed, reliability, and a guarantee of on-time delivery for scaled projects. The company self-performs most of its projects to control risk and maintain its high standards. Bethlehem proudly maintains PCI (Precast Concrete Institute) certification on all of its plants. This prestigious Plant certification requires that our precast/prestress processes exceed industry averages.


 


ROLE OVERVIEW


Bethlehem Construction is seeking a Technical Precast Sales Representative to join the team. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees must follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe work environment and the production of high-quality products. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.



  • Proactively develop and nurture new customer relationships and project opportunities within a targeted sales territory, driving growth and expansion.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of potential opportunities to ensure they are strategically aligned with business objectives and responsive to customer needs.

  • Identify and leverage significant market opportunities for innovative products and services based on deep insights into customer preferences, maximizing Bethlehem's profitability potential.

  • Consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets while collaborating effectively with the Sales Manager to optimize margin offerings.

  • Ensure all proposals are meticulously accurate and compelling, clearly articulating the scope, terms, pricing, and associated conditions to facilitate informed decision-making.

  • Continuously monitor and report on market dynamics and trends, including competitive analyses of CIP, tilt-up, block and brick, and other precast solutions, positioning Bethlehem as a market leader.

  • Spearhead impactful regional marketing initiatives monthly, including engaging lunch and learns, strategic trade shows, and persuasive sales presentations.

  • Oversee the design, build, development, and negotiation of projects with Owners, Architects, and General Contractors, demonstrating strong leadership and project management skills.

  • Diligently track and report on project activities through Bethlehem’s CRM system, ensuring transparency and accountability.

  • Represent Bethlehem with professionalism and expertise on bid day for hard bid offerings, held bi-monthly, showcasing the company's commitment to excellence.

  • Guarantee all necessary documentation is in place before transitioning project management responsibilities to the assigned Project Manager, ensuring a seamless handover.

  • Maintain proactive and consistent communication while soliciting valuable input from all relevant stakeholders, ensuring that proposal offerings are comprehensive and well understood.

  • Engage daily with colleagues, management, customers, federal and state agencies, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and overseeing ongoing production efforts, ensuring optimal allocation of personnel, materials, and equipment to achieve efficiency, uphold quality standards, meet delivery timelines, and adhere to budget constraints.

  • Establishing performance benchmarks, assessing outcomes, analyzing workflow, and resolving issues will be key components of this role.

  • A readiness to proactively make cold calls and build a substantial network of leads is essential for success.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Must have minimum (3+) years of large-mid size construction precast sales experience.

  • Associate's Degree (2 years) or equivalent combination of experience/training is needed.

  • Must have experience with Microsoft, Bluebeam, Sage 300CRE, and AutoCAD software.

  • Must be familiar with lead generation software.

  • Must be able to read blueprints.

  • Must be able to effectively present estimates to all levels of the Bethlehem Construction Management Team, as well as prepare presentations for the client.

  • Must understand Construction Safety Requirements and Compliance, and be a Safety Advocate for Bethlehem Construction, Inc.

  • Must have legal capacity to drive a company vehicle.



LOCATIONS


Cashmere, WA, with required travel to job sites in the region. 


Territory covers: Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.


Travel Requirements: approximately 70% travel, with frequent overnight stays, is required to jobsites and to visit clients.


 


Cashmere is the geographic center of Washington State, and this town’s got a lot of heart!  Surrounded by pear and apple orchards, there’s no mistaking how Cashmere made its fortunes.  Locally grown fruit is packed and shipped all around the world, from the tree to your table.  Chances are, if you have enjoyed a Washington pear, it probably was grown in the hills that surround Cashmere. Downtown is a great place to get some delicious lunch or pick up a fresh pastry. Cashmere is best known for Washington State’s equally maligned and beloved state candy, Aplets and Cotlets.  Walk the shady sidewalks past turn-of-the-century craftsman homes lovingly restored and preserved.  Be sure not to miss a world-class collection of local Native American artifacts on display at the Cashmere museum, right across the river from downtown. 


 


Cashmere is surrounded by the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains, along the Wenatchee River, and near both the Cascades and Lake Chelan, making it a great place for outdoor adventures. The Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area is about 10 miles west. The Peshastin Pinnacles is a historical climbing area located a few miles from town. Some of America's first technical climbing routes were established here. The Devil's Gulch mountain bike trail is considered the premier downhill ride in Washington state and is located just south of town. This ride attracts thousands of mountain bikers from Seattle and elsewhere each year. The Wenatchee River is a popular whitewater destination and runs right through Cashmere. The river provides challenging rapids for rafters and kayakers each spring during runoff. Several famous rapids occur in the stretch of river that runs through town.


 


The Wenatchee River Valley offers the beauty of all seasons and has become a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts. On the same day, you can: water ski the Columbia River and ski Mission Ridge; whitewater raft in the Wenatchee River, and mountain bike Sage Hills. For golf enthusiasts, the valley boasts seven golf courses, each with its own degree of difficulty and dramatic views. Just 10 miles to the east, the Apple Capital Loop Trail runs along the Columbia River. It provides 10 miles of paved trails for walking, running, biking, and other non-motorized transportation.  One of the favorite stops along the trail is Pybus Market, where you can get the world’s best fruit and vegetables from local farmers, and enjoy a freshly prepared meal at several different restaurants along the market.
