Technical Product Manager

Hi, I'm Brayden, Founder at Sola, and I will be leading the hiring for this role.

We're building the best modern insurance products in the world. Few products you own can impact your life like insurance, yet for most people it's one of the worst. So we rebuilt it end to end, everything in-house, from claims to modeling to the technology to the actual policy.

We started with wind and hail, one of the most broken parts of the industry, and built the only profitable policy of its kind in the world. We've paid claims in as little as four hours.

About the Role

This will be Sola's second product pod, and you will lead it. You'll run a tight team of product designers and engineers, owning a core surface of our platform from discovery through ship.

We fundamentally believe the PM role is constantly evolving and encourage this. We're not looking for someone who writes requirements docs and hands them over the wall. We're looking for someone who opens Cursor, vibe codes a prototype, and iterates until it's right. The frontier of product management is changing fast, and we want someone a step ahead of it.

What You'll Do

• Lead Sola's second product pod end to end, from problem discovery to shipped product

• Prototype rapidly with AI-native tools (Cursor, Claude, v0, or similar) to validate ideas (Mostly not production)

• Keep your team focused and on track with tools like clickup.

• Use research, data, and direct conversations with agents, homeowners, and our own sales team to drive decisions

• Be a visionary. Pull the team and our users into the future with you

You'll Fit Right In If You

• Have 5+ years of product management experience on shipped software products

• Have the ambition and judgment to grow into product leadership as Sola scales

• Have genuine design taste and a history of working closely with designers

• Can vibe code, and iterate on your own prototypes without waiting on an engineer

• Understand basic engineering to plan well, scope honestly

• Are systems-minded, building processes that work and killing ones that don't

• Have used tools like Posthog or Mixpanel.
