Position: Technical Product Owner (VoIP hardware Clients)
Project: SIP Client Applications
Project Overview The project focuses on the development and evolution of VoIP applications for real-time communications (desktop VoIP phones based on SIP protocol). It involves signaling and media handling, network interactions, and integration of new features into an existing, complex architecture.
The customer is an international technology company developing software solutions for Contact Centers and Unified Communication systems.
About The Role You receive a high-level product or business requirement and drive it to a development-ready state:
- Analyze user scenarios and expectations,
- Define user and technical requirements,
- Design the feature,
- Create user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
The role requires deep technical involvement and offers a growth path toward an architectural role.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user needs and usage scenarios
- Elaborate high-level requirements into well-defined solutions
- Develop and document feature requirements and specifications for SIP applications, covering user, functional, and non-functional aspects.
- Create and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria
- Participate in technical and architectural discussions
- Participate in code reviews
- Collaborate closely with C++ developers and QA team and support them during feature implementation
- Incoming bugs triage
Requirements
- Experience as a Technical Product Owner or Senior Developer
- Ability to independently design features end-to-end
- Understanding of C++ at the level of reading code and discussing implementation
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, etc.)
- Understanding of VoIP, signaling, call flows, RTP
- Experience documenting both user and technical requirements
- Hands-on experience with user stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong technical background with a focus on system design and architecture-related tasks.
- English proficiency at Upper Intermediate level or higher, sufficient for reading documentation and participating in technical discussions
Nice To Have
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with SIP protocol
- Experience with real-time or distributed systems
