Environmental Design Group is seeking a motivated and technically driven Designer to assist engineers and landscape architects in the development of construction plans for trails, roadways, sidewalks, and active transportation projects.
As a Technical Production Designer at Environmental Design Group, you will
Actively engage in assigned projects including reviewing project specifications to ensure complete and accurate drawings and documentation; traveling to project sites; and creating detailed drawings and maps using CAD software; collaborating with the project manager to prepare project reports and plans.
Coordinate printing and assembly of specification books, binding of reports, and production of final plans and exhibits for in-house review, clients, and government agencies.
Demonstrate a solid grasp of the skill set, and exercise sound professional judgment.
Provide clear and concise documentation of all project activities and quantities.
Review and check detailed drawings and layouts in support of the QA/QC process.
Perform field activities, as needed.
Adhere to all quality and safety protocols.
Make recommendations and demonstrate analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned for the organization’s best interest.
Requirements
Associate or Technical Degree is required; Bachelors Degree is preferred
2-5 Years of experience is required
Basic communication and interpersonal skills are required
Must be analytical and creative-minded
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD, and other industry software
Experience in trail and/or multi-modal transportation, or the motivation to learn this specialty, is required
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that has the availability to be hybrid.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day.
Must have a valid drivers license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Companys standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.
Supervisor Responsibility
