Technical Project Manager The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technology projects that support business needs and improve internal systems, applications, and processes. This role partners closely with the Development and IT teams, department leaders, end users, and outside vendors to translate business needs into clear project requirements and actionable solutions. The Technical Project Manager will manage projects from initial discovery through implementation, ensuring priorities are aligned, expectations are clearly communicated, and projects are completed on time and within scope. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders and end users to identify technology needs, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into clear project requirements, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the Software Development and IT teams.
- Lead technology projects from discovery through implementation, including new applications, system enhancements, integrations, migrations, and software updates.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, priorities, milestones, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
- Coordinate activities across all departments to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Manage project backlogs and prioritize work based on business impact, urgency, organizational goals, and available resources.
- Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and action items, monitor progress, and address risks or roadblocks.
- Evaluate proposed system changes to ensure they support business needs, user experience, security, performance, and scalability.
- Coordinate testing, implementation, employee communication, training, documentation, and post-launch support.
- Provide regular updates to leadership regarding project progress, risks, challenges, and decisions.
- Track project results, gather user feedback, and recommend continued system or process improvements.
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in project management, technical project coordination, business systems, or a related role.
- Experience working directly with software developers, IT professionals, business leaders, and end users.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical project plans.
- Familiarity with project-management and collaboration platforms.
- Understanding of software development, application integrations, system testing, and implementation processes.
- Willingness to work outside regular business hours when necessary.
