Technical Project Manager

Description:

Our client, and leader in the mining industry is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in South Jordan, UT. They are building out their underground mine and are looking for individuals who have experience in a similar environment. Provide project support to Project Managers / Program Managers by assisting in the deploying the IT infrastructure to hosting locations at the operation. Skills in definition of feasibility phase and study phase for major underground projects, new mines, life of mines (LOM) and piloting a squad. Looking to bring on a PM to assist with the completion of this project for 12-24 months. Provide project support to Project Managers / Program Managers by deploying network equipment to hosting locations. Common duties include technical assessment of changes to understand business impact, working in an environment and understanding racking and stacking of physical devices, full inventory, understanding configuration of networking equipment, verifying network service quality is to plan, updating CMDB (Configuration Management Database is a tool used by IS&T to manage assets) and assisting with STS (Service Transition to Support).

5-7+Years Experience in Project Management. Looking for a lead who has started projects and seen then through to completion in a similar environment (Must have examples). Looking for clear communication and ability to build relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, leaders, executives and all employees/customers.

5-7+ Years Experience in Producing Reporting and Metrics to Leadership/Stake Holders. Must have excellent communication and ability to build relationships as well as a clear track record of completion of projects. (driving KPI's, excel utilization, Microsoft tools, project management tools). Experience with Environmental Projects is a plus.

2-3+ Years of Experience in a Microsoft Environment (Azure, AD, SharePoint, M365/O365). Must come from a System Admin background OR have an understanding of System Admin duties. Looking for a Technical Project Manger. Understanding of Network Infrastructure and Virtual Environments. Working in IS&T infrastructure audit planning – execution across multiple sites globally – strong budgeting and planning acumen.
