The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing large, strategic projects that cross over multiple product lines and agile teams within Cvent's Product Development group. This individual will execute assigned projects from the conceptual initiation phase through an agile technical implementation until formal project closure. This position helps to ensure that the Agile Project Management Framework (APMF) and Cvent Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) are followed to ensure project objectives and full business value is fully obtained.

In This Role, You Will:

Responsible for successful completion of all assigned projects. This includes ensuring project goals, objectives, defined KPIs and business value is successfully delivered to Program Management standards.Creates and maintains project charter & project plans for all assigned projects.Identifies all project stakeholders and ensures their communication needs are met.Responsible for maintaining and communicating project status on an ongoing basis. This includes escalation of project risks & issues as required.Leads the planning & software build process for assigned projects while ensuring that the defined architecture and development best practice standards of agile teams are adhered to.Facilitates necessary project change & improvements with agile teams & project stakeholders in order to align project for success.Assumes the leadership role for all aspects of project management as it relates to mentorship, training and giving feedback to improve project management processes & practices to Cvent Product Development program leaders & agile teams.

Here's What You Need:

Successful candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience managing and leading complex projects in software development or IT environments.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Project Management OR relevant industry experience in Project Management within a technology environment.Excellent knowledge of project management processes & competencies.Must have at least 5 years’ experience working through the design, development and release cycle delivering software to market.Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle best practices and Agile methodologies.Strong leadership, project management expertise, and organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.Experience with large enterprise applications preferred.Project Management experience in a SaaS, PaaS environments preferred.PMI PMP certification, or relevant certification equivalent, preferred.Knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) is considered an asset.Knowledge of SAFe is considered an asset.
