The Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineering Specialist will support product regulatory compliance programs for Cat Technology including Automation & Autonomy systems through various activities that assist in managing compliance risk and ensuring compliance with applicable product regulatory requirements for intended markets.


What you will do:

  • Collaborate with product engineering to lead functional safety analysis on safety control systems
  • Understand and stay current on product regulatory requirements, and related technology requirements, and understand application of same to Caterpillar products.
  • Follow and utilize established processes and tools to collect, assess, and manage information in support of product certification and compliance.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for processes and tools used to manage product regulatory compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with product groups, design control and operations to ensure the development, validation and production of product that meets applicable product regulatory requirements.

What you will have:

  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
  • Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Top candidates will have:

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
  • Extensive experience developing electronic systems
  • Ability to create and use PowerBI dashboards for product regulatory reporting
  • Working understanding of earth moving machinery ISO standards.

Additional Details:

  • This position requires the candidate to work full-time in one of these offices, Tucson, AZ, Mossville, IL or Irving, TX.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
  • Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.
  • This position will require up to 15% travel

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
