Job Description - Technical Sales Manager



Full-time


Description

Sales & Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Enterprise Sales Customer to manage the label printing process for various types of labels
    • These relationships include Designers, Packaging Engineers, Operations Partners and Senior Management 
  • Identify customer needs and provide customized solutions for high-quality conventional pressure-sensitive and shrink labels as well as digitally printed labels.
  • Work with customer’s designer team to assist in label design options and printing solutions that align with their designs and Brook + Whittle’s printing capabilities.
  • Manage projects as required by customer.
  • Manage timely delivery of open orders in all sites to meet / exceed expectations of a demanding customer.

Technical Expertise & Product Quality:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of printing technologies and innovations, particularly in conventional pressure-sensitive and shrink labels and digitally printed labels.
  • Have a strong understanding of various decorative techniques including inks, foils, varnishes, and their interaction within the print process. 
  • Understand materials and adhesives interactions with various containers for potential cost saving recommendations to customer.
  • Manage Press Color Approval process in all B+W sites for consistency and to meet the requirements of design.
  • Utilize advanced color management tools to ensure printed labels match customer specifications.
  • Work with B+W Quality teams in all sites to guarantee compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.

Project Management & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with internal departments (customer service, pre-press, production, quality assurance) to meet customer requirements.
  • Meet with Customer’s Design Team as required for initial review of projects for printability.
  • Review Design Turnover for all new projects with internal customer service, prepress, production and quality to ensure customer’s design intent is met. 
  • Effectively manage multiple projects at multiple sites simultaneously, ensuring timelines are consistently met.
  • Proactively address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the production process.
  • Review quality call-outs from customer and insure they are addressed in a timely manner.

Professional Development & Innovation:

  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance team performance.
  • Initiate and implement new ideas for process improvements and innovations to improve efficiency, cost savings and customer satisfaction.

Travel required up to 40% to other Brook + Whittle locations and clients facing meetings. 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Printing Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong knowledge of color management systems and printing technologies.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Salary range: $85,000.00 + depending on experience.
