Job Description - Technical Sales Representative


Technical Sales Representative | $40,000-130,000/YR

LMK Recruiting Solutions is seeking driven and results-oriented Technical Sales Representatives to lead our market development initiatives. Leveraging one of the nation’s largest and most versatile climate control rental fleets, you will play a critical role in our growth strategy by building and expanding relationships with new clients while deepening engagement with existing accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional,eager to make an impact across various sectors, including Mechanical Contracting, General Contracting, Construction, Property Management, Healthcare, Industrial Accounts, and IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Development:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets while maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships.
  • Direct Sales Activities:
    • Conduct direct sales calls and presentations to targeted customer segments within the designated market area.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that meet client needs.
  • Sales Administration:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Engage in ongoing product training and stay updated on industry developments to provide expert insights to clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • 3-5+ years of proven success in Outside Sales, preferably within the HVAC or industrial rental market.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Licenses & Screening:

    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.
  • Field Work:

    • Willingness to spend 90%+ of time in the field (travel) engaging with clients.
  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Experience in commercial and/or industrial product sales, particularly within the HVAC rental industry.
    • Strong understanding of HVAC and electrical systems, including their functionalities.
    • Knowledge of the construction contracting and engineering processes is a plus.
    • Familiarity with sectors such as Healthcare, Higher Education, Industrial/Manufacturing, and Commercial Real Estate is desirable.
  • Skills & Qualities:

    • Competitive drive and a commitment to achieving sales objectives.
    • Mechanical aptitude and proficient problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both verbal and written.
    • Strong organization and follow-through skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Proficient in Excel, Windows, Outlook, CRM systems, and other relevant software.
