Technical Services Specialist - Level 1 - Associate (0-5 Years)

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled IT Business Systems Analyst to provide comprehensive services and support for their Corporate Business Units (CBUs) line of business applications. This position operates under direct to limited guidance and is responsible for applying diversified technical knowledge and practices to broad assignments across multiple fields. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, enabling the effective maintenance and support of applications critical to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between CBUs and IT, facilitating communication and support
  • Acknowledge, evaluate, and resolve service tickets within SLA agreements
  • Support key applications working with vendors and the business
  • Provide first-tier functional and technical support to end users
  • Execute SQL scripts for data management and troubleshooting
  • Understand and analyze applications and environment logs
  • Administer Windows servers and support on-premises Windows and Linux based applications
  • Assist with cloud solutions maintenance and migrations
  • Analyze business processes and identify technology opportunities to reduce operational and licensing costs
  • Design and implement IT solutions to meet customer needs and business goals
  • Apply advanced analytical skills to decompose work into manageable value-based units
  • Plan and develop technical projects concerned with unique complexities
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems
  • Identify interdependencies and functional gaps in business processes
  • Contribute to the application QA testing process and support end users
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
  • Act as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 0-5 years of experience applying diversified knowledge of technical principles and practices
  • Strong understanding of business processes and practices related to various corporate business units
  • Exemplary problem-solving skills, especially for complex issues
  • Strong ability to gather, evaluate, decompose, and prioritize business needs
  • Expert level proficiency in Windows OS and Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience supporting Windows infrastructure, Windows Server & client OS, Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL and understanding of computer architecture aspects (databases, ETLs, applications, network infrastructure, firewalls)
  • Strong attention to detail, highly self-motivated, proactive, and self-directed
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow
  • Experience supporting applications with SSO integration
  • Data analytics and dashboarding skills (Power BI and MS Power Apps)
  • Strong test lead skills (test management, planning, execution, oversight)
  • Experience with cutover planning and change management systems
  • Sarbanes-Oxley compliance (SOX) controls experience
  • Agile working experience
  • Experience with Cybersecurity applications and security stack
