Technical Sr. Help Desk Specialist
For this unique marine company, you will provide technical assistance to computer system users. A typical day for the technical help desk specialist is answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Expert knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software. (Windows environment).
- Audit records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
- Update technical manuals and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate problems.
- Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
- Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Expert mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
What Do You Need to Be Successful?
- Expert knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software.
- Associate's degree in computer related field or equivalent training required.
- 10+ years’ experience required.
This is a full-time, onsite, estimated 6 months plus opening in Lebanon, MO.
Pay Rate: $35.00 to $42.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
