What's the role?

The role is responsible for supporting the seismic mechanical activities of the company for offshore vessels and project equipment specifics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical technical support.
• Maintain seismic mechanical technical specifications and standards for marine acquisition projects.
• Develop, maintain and improve the Company’s seismic mechanical technology and technique with a focus on environmental, safety, and operational efficiency and excellence.
• Keep abreast of changes in seismic mechanical technology and proactively make recommendations to Management for enhanced service offerings.
• Support key suppliers of mechanical services.
• Monitor mechanical department spend and procurement.
• Monitor mechanical-related downtime across fleet and implement program to reduce this as far as practical.
• Support Human Resources in the selection and development of mechanic personnel.
• Ensure that the Company management system is implemented, adhered to, measured and improved with support work.
• Assist in marketing of mechanical services to Clients.
• Ensure that Company’s pioneering approach to sustainability is implemented throughout the mechanical organization.
• Frequent international travel, sometimes at short notice.
• Occasional visits to, and onboard vessels
• Fulfill their assigned responsibilities as part of the Emergency Response team in line with the Emergency Response Plan and duty list as required.

Who are we looking for?

• Detailed knowledge of and extensive experience with marine seismic survey methods and technologies relating to the mechanical aspects.
• Mechanical or related technical Engineering degree/trade qualifications.
• Hold at least 10 years of relevant seismic mechanical experience.
