Technical Support Chemist

• On -site & virtual installations and trainings at laboratories around the US
  
• Telephone and email troubleshooting for customers
  
• Assist in development of methods
  
• Instrument and software testing
  
• Create customer describing procedures for efficient and effective use of instrumentation
  
• Special projects related to customer needs
  
• Advise customers on instrumentation and methods
  
• Perform diagnostics on in -house instruments
  
• Instrument maintenance
  
• Assist technical sales with Instrument/software demonstrations
  
• Assist with sales and marketing strategies
  
• Attend conferences, exhibitions and demonstrations as required
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or closely related field
  
• Ideally have experience in water/wastewater laboratory
  
• Good analytical chemistry laboratory skills
  
• Ideally familiar with analyses techniques such as BOD, COD, Metals, Inorganic nutrient analysis
  
• Ideally have worked with discrete, flow analyzers (FIA, SFA) and/or BOD robotics
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Ability to work in a fast -paced environment as a part of a team to accomplish common goals
  
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time (available for overnight weeknight travel, up to 3 -4 nights per week).  Majority of travel is within the US.
