We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist with experience in electro-mechanical and/or electronic technician roles. In this position, you will provide essential telephone support for electronic equipment. Troubleshooting expertise is paramount, and while a degree is not required, practical experience in electro-mechanical systems is essential. This role offers the opportunity to transition into a desk job within an office environment.

Responsibilities:

Technical Troubleshooting:

  • Utilize your experience as an electro-mechanical technician to diagnose and resolve technical issues with electronic equipment.
  • Apply your troubleshooting skills to identify and address problems efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for customers and service technicians.

Customer Support:

  • Provide responsive and effective telephone support to customers and service technicians seeking assistance with equipment issues.
  • Guide customers through troubleshooting procedures and provide clear instructions to resolve technical problems remotely.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and solutions accurately and comprehensively.
  • Generate reports on common issues, trends, and resolutions to help improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

Product Knowledge and Training:

  • Develop a deep understanding of electronic equipment, including components, operation, and maintenance requirements.
  • Share your expertise with colleagues and contribute to training programs to enhance the technical capabilities of the support team.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide feedback on product performance, usability, and customer needs to inform future product enhancements and improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electro-mechanical or electronic related equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to documenting interactions and solutions accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable transitioning into a desk job within an office setting.
