Purpose: To assist REXA Training Programs, including facilitating, coordinating REXA Technical Training courses for end users, Channel Partners, REXA Sales Managers, and REXA technicians. Reaches out to customers to offer various levels of technical training in coordination with Sales and Aftermarket Managers. Focuses on educating our current customer base on the technical aspects of the product through formal classes, and coordinate with Sales Managers on any strategy to leverage these training sessions for future sales opportunities. This position also provides support for the Training Manager.
Responsibilities:
Train in a similar pipeline as a REXA Field Service Technician to gain experience and familiarity working with various REXA systems and customer applications.
Travel up to 70% of the year to customers, Channel Partners or other REXA locations for conducting Technical Training Courses.
Coordinate Training Classes with End-Users, Channel Partners, and REXA Aftermarket Managers.
Answer incoming calls and emails for training requests, and at times for troubleshooting.
Research the fleet of actuators utilized by each customer prior to arriving at their location to ensure the training course is contoured towards their current fleet, and towards additional applications that RSM is looking to pursue at their facility.
Provide engaging training courses to a wide variety of customers with various technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Coordinate and receive all approvals for Classes through REXA RSMs and Training Manager.
Proactively communicate with RSMs and End-Users to provide training courses at customers’ facilities or REXA facilities.
Communicate with customer, Channel Partners, and/or RSMs to determine which demo units to utilize for each training course, and to agree on course expectations and outcomes.
Coordinate shipping and receiving of REXA Demo Units to/from customers.
Verify Demo Units are assessed and repaired upon receipt in company facilities to make them available for the next course.
For billable courses, ensure PO is provided prior to sending materials units to customer's facility (unless approved otherwise in advance).
Collect student registration list prior to course, to include their Full Name, Position, Company Name, email address.
Ensure all course materials are repacked for shipment back to REXA facility upon completion of each class.
Support demo trailer.
Ensure L1 technicians receive relevant on the job training; conduct periodic audits for proficiency.
Coordinate technician training as needed on system updates and developing technology.
Support Training and certification of CSC.
Supports Training Manager as needed.
Education and Experience:
Associate Degree in technical field.
A least 3 years’ experience working as a technical trainer; preferably in service function.
At least 3 years in a traveling field technician role, working on PLCs, Valve Automation, diagnosing, maintaining, fixing, and training people on use of such equipment in the field.
Knowledge and skills:
Preferred experience of 2 years as a field service technician with experience troubleshooting, root-cause diagnosis, and repair or electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems.
Ability to diagnose & troubleshoot various electrical, hydraulic, and control systems to component level in person, as well as being able to explain such steps over the phone with a customer.
Solid knowledge of computer databases, MS Office, ERP and CRM.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to create engaging learning environment.
Good verbal and written communication.
Strong time management skills.
Must be able to manage multiple priorities with flexibility, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Working conditions:
Various industrial environments based on customer sites. Most exposure will be office and manufacturing facilities. Strict compliance with company, customer, and representative safety policies to include the ability to pass drug tests per federal regulations. High travel volume. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
